My October 26 – October 30 Journal

My week starts with Sunday- with God’s loving, redeeming and assuring words. One of my vitamins aside from a glass of dalanghita juice which can surely sustain me for the rest of this week.

After attending the Flag raising I usually go around the City Hall and visit the departments. I sometimes visit them per floor. Random checks like these is effective para matukoy ko ang tutuong dapat ayusin.

I then head on to my office to attend to all callers: sometimes I feel like a doctor eh. Minsan para ding attorney , minsan pwede ding counselor: giving advice and sharing programs.

Oath taking of SKL- Pacita Chapter

Thursday is my oath-taking day. I hold an average of four associations every Thursday. Luckily, there are so many areas dito sa Mayor’s Office which can function as perfect spots for oath taking. Nakaka pag exercise din ako sa pag criss-cross from one spot to another.

Signing documents is something that I do regularly.  Then I reserve Fridays for weddings. May mga gusto eh solo wedding…so be it! It’s a celebration of love kaya hindi dapat pinaghihintay.

Sometimes i go out to see the pagawains, the traffic, at iba pang mga  paki dito-paki doon. A woman’s touch is highly needed sa mga beautification projects ..especially sa landscaping . WOW, many things to do in those areas! Calling SPUR and POSO!

At night time,  I go around the city  to see if the additional lighting in dark areas,  bridges and pathways are sufficient. Parang kulang.

Pag may hindi natapos for signing, I take it home- pag hindi pa din natapos, I continue signing them after dinner. I watch balita and teleserye while doing it. Di naman ako mapili sa balita. All channels are fine with me, kapamilya kapuso, kapatid, Net25 ok sakin.

So glad to see everyone’s comfortable. Job well done COMELEC and CSU. It’s very neat and orderly! Thank God maginhawa at mahangin sa area. Comfortable ang mga tao. Everything is not perfect , but going well. May I mention also the person who is very neat in our stock room. Told him to help in storing old files, make it neat and systematic.

Inspecting the COMELEC benches this morning

If the youth of San Pedro will ARISE and ACT, they have the strength to generate a HUGE transformation in society.

A peak at the old times

Nostalgia is such a powerful feeling. It is a “friend” that stays with you forever. These photos of old San Pedro take me back. I close my eyes, and I see the young me treading along these dusty roads. No matter what happens, some memories can never be replaced.

My October 19 Journal

It took me a long time to connect with you on FB. WOW, I really would love to but I was oh toooooo…busy.  But okay, I told myself I have to find time for it, maybe an hour or less every day will do.

I really do love to communicate but my work oftentimes prevents me from doing so.  I sometimes wish that we could be like good actors or actresses that when the Director shouts “Action!,” Take 1 or Take 2 lang tayo. Tapos ang shooting ng pelikula! Napakadami nating magagawa kapagka ganon.

Example: Environment. Kasabihan, ‘practice what you preach’. But yes, we hope to get there.

ReduceReuseRecycle

Sa City Hall, we have boxes for used paper. Not yet perfect but we will get there!

Many are now using used paper for drafts. I was glad when I saw a memo of Kons. Diwa Tayao.  It’s on re-used paper!  My office, for one, does not use good paper for inter-office memos.  I have my own box for used paper, and write on the unused portion.  But not to worry, there is nothing confidential there. Nothing at all.

Aside from this, I wish we can say that all of us at City Hall are doing the three R’s – Reduce, Re-use, Recycle.  We can also do it in our own houses, in all barangays, all subdivisions.

I plan to form a Team to undertake Repair, Maintenance and Housekeeping under OM. Walang gagawin  ang team na ito but to see to it that everything is in good running order – chairs, tables, equipment, lahat ng pwedeng kumpunuhin o ayusin bago pa man lumaki ang sira, gamit man o hindi.

During Mayor Calex’ time, nagkaron tayo ng Motorpool, Engineering at GSO depot.  Aside from new hardware, may isang lugar tayo para sa recovered used materials mula sa mga ginibang lumang building, kasama ng mga sobrang materyales sa mga bagong pagawain.

Everything should have its place.  Ang office ay office – not a storage or stockroom. There should be a place for old files, which explains why we have some eight (8) 20-footer vans sa may bandang likod ng ating munisipyo – to keep our old files.

Part also of my Major Projects and Programs is the de-silting and dredging of the San Pedro and the San Pedro-Tunasan  rivers by at least 1 to 2 meters deep, pati lahat ng mga creeks at esteros.  It is a solution to flooding.

I am calling all true-blooded and inspired San Pedronians!

Help me, Help our City!

Join me as we all work towards a City we can call our own and truly love.

The works are aplenty but the laborers are few.

WE’VE GOT TO DO IT!

The walk from San Pedro Apostol Church to the COMELEC office was poignant and reflective at the same time. I may walk slowly, but I NEVER walk backwards.

My October 9 Journal

Always at night and in the morning, I thank God and pray that this day may be fruitful and beneficial, not only to me and my family but to others as well. I pray that God heals the sick and comforts the needy.

City Hall with Logo

I always pray that I will be able to understand, and be understood. I always pray for all of them.

I am just an innovative person. I am always resourceful and I always try to turn negative things into positive ones.  I am always an out of the box person, and I sometimes get misunderstood for this. There are plenty of BETTER ways to do tasks!

Had a hectic day since Monday: no place an spare time to sad, bitter or angry.  WALA!

There’s always that feeling of contentment – that I am able to do what is tasked of me: that I am able to fulfill my purpose.  There’s no room for negativity, I will always feel POSITIVE.

Monday – Flag-raising with Day Care Children in different costumes, with members of the Senior Federation and Senior City Officials – Inducted them, spent time  sharing stories with them.  WOW, I was so glad to hear their WORKS and WORDS of wisdom . They still want to make our city a better… better.. place.  Saw them again receiving anti-pneumonia injections. More anti-pneumonia injections for our Senior Citizens coming soon!

Along with these, I would also have to attend meetings requested by 20 TODA’s.

Me and my Team take our oaths as members of the Nacionalista Party – Coalition with Liberal Party
